TENDER NOTICE

1.0 Sealed Tenders are invited from financially sound and experienced tourist car operators meeting the prescribed qualifications given below for supplying tourist cars with experienced/qualified drivers on hire basis. The cars will be utilized for transporting employees and guests from different parts of the City to MFL plant at Manali and back to City and any other places out side city round the clock on need basis.

2.0 Qualification to be met by Tenderers.

2.1 Must possess a minimum of three years experience in supplying Tourists cars to reputed Companies for Personnel Transport.

2.2 Must be owning not less than three Ambassador Cars of 2002 and later models. Registered in the name of the individual or in the name of the firm if it is a Sole Proprietor firm or should be in the name of the partners or the firm if it is a partnership firm or in the name of the Company if it is a Limited Company.

2.3 Must have an Office in Chennai serving round-the-clock with telephone facilities. The office must have a responsible person with sufficient authority to coordinate day-to-day work on round-the-clock basis with MFL.

3.0 For cars Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees thirty thousand only) by account payee Demand Draft on any Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of Madras Fertilizers Limited at Chennai must be enclosed.

4.0 Partnership firms having common partner will be treated as one Tenderer.

5.0 Issue of Tender Forms

5.1 Tender document consist of Form A and Form B given below:

Form A - Qualification bid with EMD

Form B - Rate bid

Interested Parties may download the forms and submit the same duly filled with non-refundable Demand Draft attached for Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of Madras Fertilizers Limited payable at Chennai.

The forms also can be obtained from the office of the General Manager (P&A), MFL, Manali, Chennai 600 068, on payment of Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) non-refundable by cash / account payee Demand Draft on any Nationalized Bank in favour of Madras Fertilizers Limited payable at Chennai. Forms will be issued between 9.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. from October 7, 2004.

6.0 Tender Submission

6.1 Tender Form-A must be duly completed and sealed along with EMD in a separate cover super-scribed as "Tender No.P&A(T)/2004 Form A Qualification Bid".

6.2 Tender Form-B must be duly completed and sealed in a separate cover super-scribed as "Tender No.P&A(T)/2004 Form B Rate Bid".

6.3 Name and address of the Tenderer should be clearly written on both the sealed covers separately.

6.4 Tender Forms A & B duly sealed in separate covers should be sealed in another cover and marked PERSONNEL TRANSPORTATION - TENDER FOR CARS and submitted to the General Manager (Personnel & Administration), Madras Fertilizers Limited, Manali, Chennai 600 068 so as to reach him on or before October 21^, 2004 at 9.30 a.m. Tender Form A will be opened on October 21, 2004 at 2.00 p.m. in the office of the General Manager (P&A), MFL. Date of opening Tender Form B will be notified later.

7.0 Tenders not meeting any of the above conditions will not be considered.

8.0 MFL reserves the right not to issue Tender Forms to any party and reject any Tender without assigning any reason whatsoever. MFL has no obligation to accept the lowest Tender. MFL will have the absolute right to appoint one or more than one operator at similar or different rates. No claim shall lie against MFL on this account.
